Things Uzbekistan Dried Chilli Exporters Shall Well Know Before Export to China
On Nov.3, The General Administration of Customs of China(GACC) made the Announcement on the Inspection and Quarantine Requirements of Imported Dried Chilli from Uzbekistan.
In accordance with our country’s law and regulations and the stipulations of the Protocol between GACC and Uzbekistan National Plant Inspection and Quarantine Bureau on the Inspection and Quarantine Requirements of Imported Dried Chilli from Uzbekistan, China allows Uzbekistan dried chilli that meets relevant requirements to be imported into Chinese mainland from the date that the Announcement was made publicized.
Please allow us introduce the inspection and quarantine requirements for imported dried chilli of Uzbekistan origin.
1.What type of Chilli that is allowed to import to China from Uzbekistan?
The Uzbekistan chilli that is allowed to export to China refers to the products made of edible red pepper, Cápsicum ánnuum, dried by sun or by other dry-cure processing methods.
2.What requirements the producing facilities shall meet?
First of all, the manufacturers and storage houses shall be recommended by Uzbekistan. Secondly, the manufacturers shall be registered in relevant system of China. The registered manufacturers can be checked and searched on the website of GACC.
3.What are the requirements for quarantine?
Firstly, the dried chilli shall meet China national laws and regulations on plants. Secondly China pays high attention to quarantine pests Orobanche app., Longidorus elongatus (de Man) Thorne & Swanger, Verticillium dahliae Klebahn, Olpidium brassicae( Woronin) P.A. Dang., Tomato Spotted wilt tospovirus. Thirdly, the dried chilli shall not come with live pest and soil and shall not mixed with weed seeds, plant residuals, and grits.
4.What are the requirements for phytosanitary certificate?
Uzbekiatan officials shall issue phytosanitary certificate for each batch of dried chilli that meet the Protocol’s requirements for exporting to China. In the additive statement column of the phytosanitary certificate it shall indicate that the dried chilli certified by this certificate meets the plant inspection and quarantine requirements as stipulated in the Protocol on Uzbekistan Chilli Intended for Export to China which was signed on July 1, 2020, in Beijing and Tashkent by China and Uzbekistan.
5.What are the requirements in food safety aspect?
The dried chilli intended for export from Uzbekistan to China shall be up to China National Food Standards and shall conform to relevant China laws and regulations on food safety.
6.What are the requirements for packing?
The Uzbekistan dried chilli intended to export to China shall use packages that is new, clean, wholesome and air-permeable. On each package, it shall indicate in English the commodity name, place of origin (region, city or county, and country), plantation base and its registration number, manufacturer name and its registration number, and it shall indicate in Chinese 本产品输往中华人民共和国 which means the product is intended to export to the People’s Republic of China.
