Import Case - How A Komatsu Bulldozer Was Cleared and Imported in Guangzhou
On June 15, 2022, A Komatsu bulldozer direct sailed from Kobe, Japan arrived at Haijia Automotive Termimal of Guangzhou Nansha port. Seahog, an experienced Guangzhou customs agent, was in charge of its customs clearance handling . The Komatsu bulldozer, a type of large engineering equipment , was quite huge and irregular in shape. It was also the first bulldozer that Haijia Automotive Termimal had ever imported. After Seahog¡¯s coordination with Nansha Automotive Supervision Department, Nansha Document Review Department and Haijia Automotive Termimal, the Komatsu bulldozer was unload, cleared and relased by customs.
The Komatsu bulldozer, as a large engineering equipment, is overweight, superwide, super high and irregular in shape, which brrought difficulties for unloading from vessel, loading to truck and transportation. As mentioned, this was first time that Haijia Automotive Termimal toke and unloaded this type of large engineering equipment.
Seahog, the Guangzhou customs broker entrusted by the consignee of the Komastu bulldozer, attached great importance to the importation. Before shipment arrival, Seahog had a special meeting with Haijia Automotive Termimal, the shipping company and the truck team aiming to address the difficulties of load and unload and to ensure the safty during operation. Thanks to the support of Nansha customs and the Termical, the unloading job was completed in the same date of shipment arrival.
On the morning of June 22, the loading solution was confirmed with the truck team. And Seahog¡¯s application for pick-up the bulldozer from customs controlled warehouse was approved quickly by Nansha customs. The terminal manager helped arrange place for loading and resolve the difficulty of passing the exit-gate. The loading job was done at 1:30 PM after several hours of operation under the sun.
