Import Case: Can Used Pianos be Imported to China and How to Clear Them?
Piano, known as king of musical instruments, is a key board instrument used in western classic music. It consisted of 52 white keys, 36 white keys and metal string soundboard. What documents and qualifications are required for handling import customs clearance in China for used pianos?
1.The importer or its China customs broker shall have a company that has import right.
2.Sales contract, invoice, packing list
3.Info: name, materials of key boards, type(new or used, upright/bright, digital or not), brand, model, year of production, country of origin, quantity, packing method.

2.Arrange shipping to China
3.Exchange D/O when shipment arrives
4.CIQ declaration
5.Customs declaration
6.Customs verify the declared prices
7.Customs issue tax bills
8.Inspections
9.Customs release
10.Pick up shipment and deliver to appointed place.
Notes:
Imported goods, except those specially permitted by General Administration of Customs, shall accept inspection during which China customs will check if the actual goods are consistent with the declarations ,and if there is any info that is wrong, missing, hidden or false, and check if the importation of the goods is legal. The inspection shall take place at the time and spot specified by customs. Importers shall make application and get approval from csutoms if they want inspection taken place at other time and place not specified by customs for special reasones. In this case, the applicant shall pay related traffic fees and accommodation fees for such arrangement.
