Shenzhen Yantian Returned Sri Lanka Red Tea with Exceeding Rare Earth
Shenzhen CIQ disclosed on June 10, 2015 that they found excessive rare earth contained a batch of Sri Lanka red tea imported through Shenzhen Yantian Port during the inspection. Now, this shipment has been returned.
The involving red tea is 2 tons, with a value of 50,000 US dollars. The rare earth content is 2.5mg/kg which exceeds the relevant national limitation requirement-2.0mg/kg. Since this year, Shenzhen CIQ has detected 7 rare earth exceeding cases from Sri Lanka red tea.
