Tianjin Port Seized Eight Shipments Containing Products with Misused Organic Marks
Since 2016, Tianjin Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has seized eight shipments containing products with misused organic marks during on-field inspection for imported commodities. These products had not yet obtained our country¡¯s organic certificate but had ORGANIC wording or overseas certification marks for organic products and did not declare this point. The involving products mainly include tea leaf, grape wine, and syrup. The import enterprises could not provide organic certificate, sale certificate for organic products, certification marks and product marks and other relevant documents for organic certification, which meant they have not obtained our country¡¯s organic certificate. Tianjian Bureau thus judge these imported food unqualified. And the importer enterprises have modified as ordered by Tianjian Bureau.
