How do we handle China customs clearance for return goods£¿
Paper work: copy of the following documents is required:
1. the original export/import contract;2. packing list3. invoice4. B/L5. Declaration Form
Plus, client should provide the HS code or the product name, because if the goods is subject to legal inspection, the copy of Declaration Form of Exit/Entry is an requirement. Client needs to advise us the container type(20ft, 40ft, or 40HQ). And, client should tell us if the container contains multiple products, or some products that did not do export declaration. Client should advise us why the goods is returned.
Generally, at China mainland port, there are two handlling methods for return goods
General trade import customs declaration
Bonded zone customs declaration
Case: one 40ft container is returned by Foreign country because the corners of these boxes have wood packing. The container is sent back to port of shipment to take out of the wood packing. After that, the container will be shipped back to the original destination port.
