Generally, at mainland china ports, there are two handling methods for return cargo:
1. General trade import. And, the client needs to pay taxes for that. If the cargo is returned because of quality problem, the client can apply duty-free importation with foreign examining report. For example, return machines/equipment for repair could do duty-free importation if examination report is provided
Bring the return goods into Bonded Zone. The process goes like this:
a. Bonded Zone Import Customs Declaration
b. Open container, remove wood packing from the boxes, detroy wood packing, do customs inspection, reload container
c. Drap the return goods into bonded bone
d. book export space, change and pick up container, entry port, do export declaration
The basic expenses to Handle return cargo/container in bonded zone:
Bonded zone import customs declaration and inspection fee
towing and storage fees
cargo handling charges
bonded zone export declaration
5. the agency fee.
6. devanning fee,
7. discharge container fee,
8. container detention charge
If the cargo is retuined because of wood packing, destroy fee will be charged. If thewood pallet exceeds certain quantity, the cargo owner will subject to some fine. Note: you can not simply take out the wood packing at a warehouse in the port.
From the container arrives the port to it leaves again, it takes about two weeks.
