Guangzhou Customs Clearance Assistance for Lepidolite from Tanzania
Lepidolite, the basic aluminosilicate of kalium and lithium, one of mica minerals, is the most comment lithium mineral and an important mineral to extract lithium. Lepidolite normally produces in granite pegmatite, in purple, pink or colorless, with pearly luster, in the shape of short columns, collection of small flakes or Large plate crystals. Seahog Logistics’ Guangzhou customs broker team recently helped clear a shipment with 26+ tons of lelidolite originated in Tanzania at Nansha port, Guangzhou and arranged deliver to Foshan city after clearance done. The import flow of lepidolite is nothing special, booking, export declaration, shipping to China, exchange D/O after shipment arrival, declare to Customs & CIQ, arrange tax payment, accept inspection, arrange delivery etc. Yet, like most minerals, lepidolite needs to do radioactivity test, container by container if ship by FCL, and 30% will be drawn if ship by LCL or ship in bulk. The required docs for clearance in China are quite normal, including packing list, invoice, sales contract, certificate of origin, ingredient test report. We suggest sending these docs to the China customs broker for preview before shipping to make sure they are correctly prepared and ask them help choose a proper port to execute the import clearance.
