Shanghai WGQ Port Destroyed Unqualified Imported Auto Windshields
Recently, a batch of auto front windshields without CCC mark was destroyed under the supervision of Shang WGQ Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. These windshields were imported from Italy, with a value of 1208 USD. They were imported to use on a well-known auto brand. This was the first time that WGQ bureau destroyed imported auto front windshields in 2014.
Front windshield is generally regarded as the last safeguard of safe driving and thus is directly related to the life safety of drivers. Therefore, it is listed in national compulsory product certification catalogue, and is required to get CCC certification. This year, the inspectors of WGQ bureau continue to enhance inspection supervision efficiency, and attach same importance to gate-guard and services. They have found problems existed in a number of batches of CCC products during on-field inspection, and reported two major issues. WGQ bureau strictly supervised every batch of unqualified imported CCC products, and handled return, destroy or correction up to standard , so as to prevent unqualified products flow into market and thus protect consumers¡¯ safety.
